Preview Interview

HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 26, 2014) – The Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey team will travel to Washington, Pa. for an Empire 8 showdown with rival Washington & Jefferson College on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Click here to listen to Head Coach Emily Beach (Hoboken, N.J.) talk about the upcoming game and several keys for the Ducks.

The Ducks have played well over the last six years against the Presidents, winning conference tournament battles four of the last six seasons (4-0) and riding a 10-game win-streak against the Presidents overall.

In 2013, the Ducks rolled in the teams' only meeting, earning a 5-1 victory at the DeBaun Athletic Complex. Junior Erin Silvestri (Beverly, Mass.) tallied for Stevens in that battle.

The Ducks will come in to Saturday's game with an overall record of 4-5 and a mark of 1-1 in the conference, falling at St. John Fisher College and defeating Houghton College.

W&J is off to a fast start in 2014 as the Presidents bring in a 2-0 record in Empire 8 play and 6-2 ledger overall. W&J's conference wins came against Nazareth College (3-1) and Elmira College (4-1).
