HOBOKEN, N.J. (OCTOBER 17, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team topped Alfred University 9-0 on Senior Day Saturday.
The Ducks ran their unbeaten streak to nine straight, and moved to 11-2-1 on the year. Alfred dropped 1-12-2 this season.

Zisi Komar knocked in a rebound off a shot from junior
Raba Nassif for her team-leading 10
th tally of the year. Komar would add a second goal at the 17:22 mark of the opening half. Just 23 seconds, sophomore
Megan Lynes fired a shot from 30 yards that landed in the upper corner of the goal for her first goal of the year.
In the 23
rd minute, senior
Kristen Goncalves fielded a pass from Komar and took a shot that glanced off the keeper's hands for her sixth goal of the year. Freshman
Olivia Butera and senior
Carly Bean also recorded first half markers to put the Ducks up 6-0 at the half.
Sophomore
Gabby Pagkalinawan scored her fifth of the year 1:49 into the second period off a Nassif pass, and junior
Rachel Chavkin registered her second career goal in the 65
th minute. Chavkin blasted a free kick from just outside the box that deflected off the wall past the goalie. Sophomore
Sammy Mount capped the scoring in the 68
th minute, putting home a rebound off a Goncalves attempt that struck the crossbar.
Senior
Evelyn Ting recorded her first win of the season, making two stops. Nassif tallied three assists, while freshman
Whitney Brown notched a pair of assists. Komar, Chavkin, Beab and freshman
Laura Malacane all tallied four shots.
Lauren Wyant had both shots for the Saxons, while Sammy Jo Shanahan made 13 saves in the defeat.
The Ducks are back in action Wednesday as they take on #9 The College of New Jersey at 7 p.m. at DeBaun.
