Men’s Basketball Seeks Third Straight Win Saturday

HOBOKEN, N.J. (November 20, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's basketball team is looking to build on its two-game win streak Saturday when it hosts Drew University in Hoboken.

Game time is set for 2 p.m. at Canavan Arena.

LAST TIME OUT
Junior Evan Klimchak matched a career-high with 28 points Wednesday in the Ducks 92-77 win over Kean University. Senior Alex Lorenz chipped-in with his first double-double of the season, while junior Patrick Barron scored 21.

SCOUTING REPORT
After opening its season with a double-digit win over SUNY Potsdam, Drew fell in its second game by eight to William Paterson University. The Rangers feature five players who average double-figures in scoring. 

LONG TIME NO SEE
The Ducks are 2-0 in their last two matchups against Drew, however Saturday's meeting will be the first since the 2008-09 season. Both games were double-digit victories for Stevens.

LEADING DUCK
After scoring outputs of 27, 30, and 21, Barron leads the Ducks in scoring at 26 points per game. Barron was named the Empire 8 Conference's player of the week Monday, the first for Stevens since the 2013-14 season.

HEAT-KLIMCHAK
Klimchak leads the Ducks in three point shooting (48 percent) after recording his third straight game of double-digit scoring Wednesday.

CLEANING THE BOARDS
Lorenz leads the Ducks in rebounding after pulling-down a career-high 12 in Wednesday's win over Kean. Lorenz's 10 boards per game is good for fifth in the E8.

HOME COOKIN'
With Wednesday's win, the Ducks have now won three of their last four at Canavan Arena dating back to last season.

FREEBIES
The Ducks are second in the E8 in free-throw percentage (73 percent) entering the weekend.
