Men’s Fencing Beats No. 11 Brown

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (February 21, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's fencing team picked-up a significant 14-13 victory against No. 11 Brown UniversitySaturday at the Temple Invitational.
 
In sabre, senior captain Marco Egizi rallied from a 4-1 deficit to win the 13th bout before freshman Ian Fan overcame a 4-2 deficit to take the 14th bout and the match.
 
The Ducks dropped their over three matches of the afternoon against No. 8 Princeton University (20-7), No. 6 St. John's University (21-6), and No. 1 defending champion Penn State University (22-5). The one day event was held at Temple University.
 
Junior Logan Koester put-together an 8-4 day at epee against competition from some of the top teams in the country.
 
The Ducks will return to action tomorrow as part of the MACFA, Group "B" vs Group "C" round robin.
