Men’s Soccer Begins Two-Match Homestand Wednesday Night

HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 22, 2015) – Riding a three match unbeaten streak, the Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team returns to Hoboken Wednesday for a non-conference match against Swarthmore College.

MATCH INFO
Match time is set for 7 p.m. at the De Baun Athletic Complex in Hoboken. 

LAST TIME OUT
The Ducks (4-1-1) played to a 1-1 draw Saturday in an Empire 8 Conference road match with Elmira College.  Junior Patrick Masur scored his first goal of the season, while senior Colin Phillips chipped-in with the assist.

SCOUTING REPORT
The Diplomats are currently on a two-match losing streak as they bring a 3-4 record to Hoboken. Ryan Meuth leads the team with two goals and four points, while Zon Tyler has 22 saves in goal.

RIVALRY RENEWED
Wednesday's meeting will be the fifth in as many years between Stevens and Swarthmore, with the Ducks holding the 3-0-1 advantage. Last season's match was a 1-1 tie, while two of the last three have gone to overtime.

MEET THE DUCKS
Senior Carson Pryor and Phillips have combined for nine of the Ducks 15 goals this season, while senior Joe Cellitti, junior Jay Mikula, and sophomore Tommy Dorsay each have two assists. 

RENNA REPORT
Junior keeper Mike Renna has 16 saves and two shutouts heading into play on Wednesday, and sits two saves shy of 80 for his career.
