HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 25, 2015) – Riding a four game win streak, the Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey team will continue its homestand this weekend with clashes against Washington and Jefferson College, and Kean University.
WEEKEND SCHEDULEThe Ducks will kick things off with the W&J match Saturday at noon, before concluding the weekend with a Sunday match against Kean at 1 p.m. Both games will be held at the De Baun Athletic Complex in Hoboken.
LAST TIME OUTStevens exploded for three goals in the second half Tuesday in a 4-0 win over Cabrini College. Sophomore
Victoria Alvarez led the Ducks with a goal and two assists, while senior
Dailyn Brook tallied a goal and an assist.
SCOUTING REPORTThe Presidents are 4-4 on the season and are currently riding a two-game losing streak. Kean brings a 10-0 record into Hoboken in a slate that's included six shutouts.
STRIVE FOR FIVEWith a win, the Ducks would have their first five game win streak since 2013.
STAYNG BALANCEDStevens has five different players who've scored multiple goals this season, led by six from Alvarez and four from Brook and junior
Taylor Welch.
LEADING THE EMPIREHeading into play on Friday, the Ducks lead the E8 in points, goals and assists.
