Men’s Soccer Returns To Action Wednesday

HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 29, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team (5-1-2) will travel to Widener University Wednesday for a non-conference road matchup. 

MATCH INFO
Match time is set for 7 p.m. at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium in Chester, Pa.

LAST TIME OUT
The Ducks played to a 0-0 draw Saturday against Houghton College in Hoboken. The Ducks more than doubled Houghton's shot output (17-8), while junior keeper Mike Renna matched a career-high with six saves. 

NEW FACE
Wednesday's meeting will be the first between Stevens and Widener in the last 15 seasons. 

SCOUTING REPORT
Carrying a 4-4-1 record, Widener has won four of its last five matches. Tori Remondelli leads the Pride with six goals, while kepper Jonathan Rouse has 24 saves and four wins.

COMMON FOE
Stevens and Widener have shared a common opponent this season in Swarthmore College. Widener fell to the Garnet 3-2 in overtime, while the Ducks registered a 5-0 win last week.

STAYING BALANCED
The Ducks have had nine different players score goals this season, led by seven from senior Carson Pryor and five from senior Colin Phillips.

SAVING THE DAY
With six saves on Saturday, Renna surpassed the 80 career save mark. The junior keeper has 23 saves and three shutouts this season.
