HOBOKEN, N.J. (January 14, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's basketball team (5-5, 2-2) will open up a six-game home-stand this weekend with Empire 8 Conference matchups against Houghton College and Alfred University.
WEEKEND INFOFriday's game with Houghton is scheduled for a 6 p.m. tip-off, while Saturday's matchup will start at 3 p.m. Both games will take place in Canavan Arena.
LAST TIME OUTThe Ducks saw their two-game win streak snapped last Saturday in a double-digit road loss to Hartwick College.
SCOUTING REPORTSince starting the season 4-1, Houghton (5-7, 0-4) has lost five of its last six to put it at the bottom the E8 standings. The Highlanders feature four scorers who are averaging double-figures, led by 14.7 points per game for Brandon Camacho.
Alfred (6-7, 2-2) is coming off 10-point loss to St. John Fisher College, and features the E8's sixth leading scorer in Tyler Seelman (18.9 ppg).
CANAVAN COMFORTThe Ducks are undefeated in Canavan Arena this season, winning by an average margin of 22 points per game. Dating back to last season, Stevens has won five of its last six at home.
