HOBOKEN, N.J. (January 2, 2016) – The No. 12 Stevens Institute of Technology wrestling team will return to the mats for the first time in 2016 Sunday when it hosts its first home quad match of the season at Canavan Arena. 

QUAD INFO
The Ducks will start the morning with a 10 a.m. match against Hunter College before a noon matchup with Trinity College. Both Trinity and Hunter will compete on mat two as well with matchups against No. 11 The College of New Jersey.

2015 IN REVIEW
The Ducks opened their season at 6-2 with wins against No. 7 Wilkes University and No. 5 Ithaca College, in addition to a pair of second place finishes and a first place finish at their three individual tournaments. 

HOME COOKIN
Stevens is 9-0 the past two seasons in Hoboken having not dropped a match at home since 2013.

HOBOKEN COLIN
Junior Colin Navickas leads the Ducks with 21 wins this season, including a first place finish at 165 in early December at the Messiah Petrofes Invitational. 

UNBEATEN
Sophomore A.J. Kowal is the Ducks lone undefeated wrestler heading into the New Year at 17-0, and is currently ranked No. 6 in the country at 197 lbs. 

RISING ROOKIE
Freshman Thomas Poklikuha is second on the team with 19 wins in his first season on Castle Point. The south-Jersey native has two pins and two technical falls so far this season.

SOPHOMORE W'S
Combined, sophomores Phil Woods and Zach Wilhelm have tallied 34 wins this season, while Woods is tied for the team-lead with five pins.
