Manheim, Pa. – The 2026 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-America team & individual honorees for Division III have been unveiled, with 11 members of the Stevens Institute of Technology wrestling team earning selection for their collective athletic and academic performance.

Ryan Smith, sophomore
Tyler Roe, and first-years
Noah Berlin-Langston,
Noah MacIlroy,
James McGinty,
Michael O'Connor,
Charles Piccione,
Sawyer Pugh, and
Terrence Thomas all earned the accolade; Smith earned the honor for the fourth time in his collegiate career; everyone else earned their first such honor.
In addition, the team's 3.707 GPA ranked 7
th nationally and was the only Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) School in the Top 30 (3.582 GPA or higher).
To become an NWCA Scholar All-American, there are a series of athletic and academic criteria for qualification. First the wrestler must place in top 8 in the regional tournament OR wrestle at least 15 matches during the season with a winning percentage greater than 66 %, AND, from an academic side, have an average GPA of 3.2 over the last 2 semesters/quarters or last 3 trimesters OR have a cumulative GPA of 3.2.
"These student-athletes have demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence both on the mat and in the classroom. We commend their dedication and the example they set for the sport," said NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer.
473 student-athletes in all representing 105 institutions were recognized by the NWCA in the organization's Division III announcement. Stevens' 11 selections were tops among the MAC schools whose wrestlers earned Scholar All-America status, and just one of two schools (Messiah) with more than six honorees.
