COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (January 9, 2016) – The No. 18 Stevens Institute of Technology wrestling team won four matches in convincing fashion Saturday at the North/South Duals on the campus of Ursinus College.
The wins moved Stevens to 12-2 on the season, and extended its dual match win streak to eight. The Ducks topped Shippensburg University 26-9, Delaware Valley University 27-11, Worcester Polytechnic Institute 44-0, and Elizabethtown College 38-6.
Stevens 26, Shippensburg 9Junior
Rob Murray won by decision at 125 to start the match, before senior
Ryan Wilson picked-up a win by pin at 141 after a Stevens loss at 133. Sophomore
Zach Wilhelm extended the lead to 12-3 with a decision win at 149, but Shippensburg answered with a decision win at 157.
Junior
Colin Navickas responded with a 7-1 win at 165, followed by sophomore
Phil Woods' decision win at 174. Sophomore
A.J. Kowal continued the momentum with a major decision win at 195, before senior
Tyler Maher capped the win with a major decision win at 285.

Stevens 27, Delaware Valley 11Murray's decision win at 125 got the Ducks winning started, before Wilson broke a 3-3 deadlock with a pin in 3:27 at 141. Wilhelm continued the winning with a decision victory at 149, followed by senior Vic Del Monico's decision win at 157.
Navickas and Woods won by decision at 165 and 174 respectively to push Stevens' lead to 21-3, before Kowal's pin victory at 184 made it 27-3.
Delaware Valley answered back with a wins at 197 and 285, however the match was already clinched by the Ducks.

Thomas Poklikuha's pin in 2:52 at 157.
Navickas earned a decision victory at 165 to keep the Ducks firmly in control, before Woods and Kowal won by pin at 184 and 197 respectively. Moore continued the momentum with a win at 197, while Maher capped the match with a pin in 3:16 at heavyweight.
The pin was the second of the season for Maher.

Kowal won by fall in 1:40 at 184, and Maher concluded the day his second pin of the day at 285.
