Women’s Fencing Splits At Columbia

NEW YORK, N.Y. (November 18, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's fencing team topped Johns Hopkins 17-10, in addition to a loss to two time defending national champion Columbia Friday night at the Columbia Duals. 

Junior Abby Kaye went 5-1 for the day, while freshman Nicole Strezewski went unbeaten at 4-0. Sophomore Julie McEldoon went 4-2 to round out Stevens' top performers of the day.

Sophomore Amanda Choy and junior Abby Kaye each 2-1 against Columbia, battling some of the top fencers in the country. 

For the day, Stevens' foil squad went 11-7. 

The Ducks will be back in action on Dec. 4 with the NIWFA Christmas Invitational.
