Men’s Soccer Returns Home For Mid-Week Clash

HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 27, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team will look to continue its two-match win streak Wednesday when it hosts Widener in non-conference action.

MATCH INFO
Match time is set for 7 p.m. at the De Baun Athletic Complex in Hoboken. 

LAST TIME OUT
Behind goals from senior Patrick Masur and junior Tommy Dorsay, the Ducks evened their E8 record at 1-1 with a 2-0 win over St. John Fisher Saturday. 

SCOUTING REPORT
Widener enters the week 2-5-1 off a shutout loss to King's College. Led by three from Dylan Pratzner, the Pride's offense has seen scoring from six different players. 

GOOD TO BE HOME
Wednesday's match will be the first of four straight in Hoboken where Stevens has gone 17-2-1 since 2014. The Ducks will play seven of their final 10 matches at home. 

TONE SETTER
During the Ducks current two-match win streak, Masur has tallied the game's first goal each time. The veteran is tied for the team lead with three goals this fall out of the midfield. 

STOPPER
Sophomore Aaron Henry recorded his second career shutout in Saturday's win over Fisher. The first-year starter owns the second best goals against average in the Empire 8.

ONE-TWO PUNCH
Senior Jay Mikula and junior Tommy Dorsay are third and second respectively in the E8 in shots. Dorsay is also tied for the team lead with three goals.

WHERE THEY STAND
With Saturday's win, Stevens moved into a tie for fourth place in the E8. Ithaca and Houghton lead the conference with identical 2-0 records.
