HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 6, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey team will host Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Wednesday in its 2016 home opener.

Game time starts at 7 p.m. at the De Baun Athletic Complex in Hoboken.

LAST TIME OUT
The Ducks fell 6-0 to No. 3 The College of New Jersey Thursday in a stiff opening-day test. 

FAMILIAR FACE
The Ducks topped FDU 2-1 last September to avenge a 4-2 loss from the season prior. The Ducks have dominated the interstate rivalry in recent years, winning 10 of the last 11 dating back to the 2005 season.

KEEPING IT LOCAL
FDU is one of seven New Jersey opponents the Ducks will face this season. 

STONEWALL STUKE
Despite the loss last week, senior Emily Stukenborg showed off her prowess in the cage with seven saves. 

DEFENSIVE DREW
Junior Drew Lustig tallied a pair of defensive saves Thursday to set a new career high. 

TAKING AIM
Leading the Ducks with three shots on goal against TCNJ was senior Taylor Welch, who's coming off a nine-goal campaign in 2015.

FEELING AT HOME
Stevens went 8-3 last season in Hoboken, winning the final three home contests by a combined score of 11-5.
