GLASSBORO, N.J. (April 12, 2018) – Despite five goals from
Kyra Bednarski, the No. 20 Stevens Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team was topped by No. 23 Rowan University 23-11 on Thursday evening.
The teams combined for 19 goals in the gangbusters first half; Rowan scored the first three to take command of the game early on.
Bednarski scored Stevens' first two goals, but the Ducks were down 6-2 before
Emily Shanklin cut the lead back down to three. But the Profs netted the next five goals, and though Bednarski and
Cami Santor scored a total of three unanswered goals, Rowan was able to take a 13-6 lead into halftime.
Rowan scored seven-straight goals over the second half to cruise to the win.
Liz Kramer scored six times for Rowan, and Nicole Mickendrow and Kim Doyle earned four goals each for the Profs.
