HOBOKEN, N.J. (April 18, 2018) – The No. 23 Stevens Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team ran roughshod over Elmira College in Empire 8 action on Wednesday afternoon in a 19-2 win.
Julianna Ricci scored five goals in the first half and
Cami Santor added a hat trick of her own as the Ducks shut out EC 13-0. The Soaring Eagles managed just four first-half shots, and
Stephanie Schnelzer stopped all of them, including a free-position, to keep the Eagles scoreless.
The Ducks grabbed 11 of the 13 draw controls, led by
Tori Bruce with five and
Emily Shanklin's four.
Ricci finished with a team-high eight goals, just one shy of the single-game school-record of nine set three different times by
Valerie Barnhart in 2002 and 2003.
Kyra Bednarski had a team-high five assists for Stevens.
Santor finished with five goals, paced the team with four ground balls and joined with
Regan Littell to lead the team with three caused turnovers.
- Olivia Demetres played between the pipes the second half for Stevens and made one save.
- Hannah Condren and Victoria Alvarez had three ground balls each
- Stevens outshot EC 38-7
- With her four stops, Schnelzer now has 102 saves on the year. She is currently 33rd nationally in goals-against average and 34th in save percentage.

The Ducks will travel to Alfred University for an Empire 8 matchup on Saturday before returning home to host No. 10 Washington & Lee on Sunday at noon.
