ONEONTA, N.Y. (September 3, 2018) – Sophomore
Cristiano Hocken scored for the first time this season, but Scott Cebollero found the back of the net in the first minute of the second overtime to lead No. 18 Oneonta over No. 15 Stevens Institute of Technology Men's Soccer 2-1 Monday afternoon in a non-conference fixture at Red Dragon Field. Cebollero finished with two goals.
The victory snapped Stevens' season-opening two-game winning streak. The Ducks fell to 2-1 on the year and the Oneonta victory evened the all-time series at two wins each.
Nicholas Giordano made three saves for Oneonta, who improved to 1-0-1 on the year.

Daniel Aversano began the play by directing a ball into the box, where the speedy Hocken was able to track down the ball, before heading it into the net. It was the fifth career goal for the New Providence, New Jersey native.
The lead held until the 72nd minute, where Cebollero redirected an Austin Hughes cross into the net to tie the score.
Turning Point
- Oneonta finally broke through in the second overtime.
- After earning a corner, Nicholas Plate struck the ball into the box. Justin Cebollero headed the ball towards the goal, where Scott Cebollero was able to redirect the ball just inside the left post.
Inside the Numbers
- Oneonta controlled the play, holding a 17-7 edge in shots, although the margin was much slimmer in shots on net, where the Red Dragons only held a 6-4 advantage. It marked the first time this season that Stevens was outshot.
- Neither team registered a shot in the first overtime.
- Senior Aaron Henry posted a season-high four saves. Cebollero's first goal put an end to Henry's season-opening shutout streak at 261:02.
- Nicholas Giordano made three saves for Oneonta to earn the win.
- Seven players recorded a shot for Stevens, with four different players firing a shot on net.
