SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (December 4, 2019) – Sophomore
Jess Broad matched her season-high with 21 points for the second consecutive game, but it was not enough as the Stevens Institute of Technology women's basketball team fell 60-43 against Springfield College Wednesday night at Blake Arena.
The Ducks led 25-24 at halftime but were outscored 23-7 in the third quarter as Stevens was held under 60 points for the first time this season and fell to 2-4.

Broad was fantastic from the floor in the loss, shooting 9 for 15 while also pulling down a team-high seven rebounds and grabbing a pair of steals.
The two teams traded buckets back-and-forth for the entirety of the first quarter, with neither team leading by more than four points.
Trailing 13-10, the Ducks closed the first and opened the second on a 10-1 run to take a six-point lead, their largest of the contest, at 20-14.
Trailing by one coming out of the break, the Pride started the third on a 14-2 run to take an 11-point lead they would not relinquish.
Springfield was able to keep Stevens at arms-length the rest of the way, swelling the lead to as many as 19 points in the fourth quarter to take home the 17-point victory.
