HOBOKEN, N.J. (Sept. 7, 2019) –
Skylar Migliaccio and
Brynn Froehlich scored early goals in the first quarter, but the Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey team could not hold on as they fell 3-2 against Stockton Saturday at DeBaun Athletic Complex.
After the Ducks took an early 2-0 lead with goals in the sixth and 15th, respectively, the Ospreys responded with single goals in the second, third and fourth quarters to take home the victory and move to 3-0 on the year while the ducks dropped to 2-2.
Migliaccio netted the first goal of the game for Stevens when she found the back of the net on a penalty shot for her first score of the season.
Froehlich then gave the Ducks a two-score lead with just 10 seconds remaining in the first quarter after dribbling around the goalkeeper and shooting it in off an assist from
Jaymie Fiebel.
