HOBOKEN, N.J. (February 22, 2020) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's basketball team closed the 2019-20 season with a bang as they knocked off King's College 62-51 to finish the season above .500 in MAC Freedom play Saturday inside Canavan Arena.

With the win, the Ducks concluded conference play in a tie for fourth place with Eastern University after posting an 8-6 record in the MAC Freedom.

Stevens maintained the edge for the remainder of the quarter as it headed to the second period leading 15-7.

King's was able to cut the deficit to five at 18-13 halfway through the second, but the Ducks responded by closing the half on a 14-3 run featuring four points apiece by Broad, Li and freshman Danielle Cornetta to head into the locker room leading 32-16.

The run did not stop there, however, as Stevens hit its first four shots of the second half as a part of a 10-3 run to extend the lead to 42-19, the largest of game. In total, the Ducks bridged the first and second quarters on a 24-6 run.

The Monarchs chipped away at the lead for the remainder of the quarter, outscoring the Ducks 20-9 over the final eight minutes of the quarter to make the score 51-39 heading to the fourth.
