HOBOKEN, N.J. (May 3, 2021) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team won each of the three contested matches en route to a 5-0 victory over Misericordia University Monday in a MAC Freedom quarterfinal matchup at the Stevens Tennis Courts.
After wrapping up a perfect regular season two days prior, the Ducks earned a pair of victories in doubles play and then one in singles to post their ninth straight shutout. Stevens improved to 9-0 on the year. Misericordia concluded its season 0-8.
"We are fortunate to be able to continue our spring season with postseason play this week," said head coach
Steve Gachko. "Today was a successful race to the finish for five quick points before the rain arrived. We are looking forward to hosting the semifinals on Wednesday and keeping our season alive."

Aashi Kulakarni earned an 8-0 victory over Zack Hemond and Matt McCaffery at first doubles to begin the day. Senior
Keegan Morris and classmate
Gabriel Sifuentes also won by the same score at second doubles before a forfeit at third doubles sent the Ducks into singles play with a 3-0 lead.
First-year
Adam Borowczak earned his eighth win of the season at fifth singles, and ninth overall, which was followed by a forfeit at sixth singles to produce the final margin of victory, sending the Ducks on to the semifinals.
With the victory, Stevens has now won at least one postseason match in 18 straight seasons.
