HAVERFORD, Pa. (March 26, 2022) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team fell to No. 35 Haverford College by a score of 9-0 Saturday afternoon in a non-conference matchup at the Marshall and Bramall Tennis Courts.

The setback dropped the Ducks to 2-4 on the season, while the Fords improved to 5-3. It was the first meeting between the teams since 2014.

"All credit goes to Haverford for playing great today," said head coach Arik Zeevy. "Any time we play a nationally-ranked opponent, it is a great measuring stick and an opportunity to improve as a team. We're looking forward to another strong opponent, when we host Stockton at home."

Haverford swept the doubles matches. They opened scoring with an 8-4 in the first flight, before claiming the second (8-2) and third flights (8-1).

The Fords controlled singles play as well. Senior Agatha Malinowski put up a fight at in the first spot, pushing her final set to a tiebreaker in a 6-2, 7-6 loss.
