ANNVILLE, Pa. (March 28, 2022) – Senior
Meredith Conlin of the Stevens Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team was named MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
It is the second career weekly honor for the Cortlandt Manor, New York native and the third for the women's lacrosse program this season.
"Meredith has worked extremely hard coming into this season and this is well deserved," head coach
Karen Shaddock said. "She runs this defense and reads the opposing offense so well. Meredith makes things happen and did a really great job of doing just that this week."
Conlin totaled nine caused turnovers in a 1-1 week for the Ducks. In Stevens' victory over Drew, Conlin matched her own program record with seven caused turnovers. Later in the week, she added two more against Stevenson. The senior defender also picked up four ground balls. Conlin ranks seventh in the MAC Freedom with 1.56 caused turnovers per game.
