After Westerby won the game's first draw control, Cook scored 30 seconds later to give the Ducks their first lead of the day. Koslop answered on the Monarchs' next possession, but the Ducks scored the next six goals to take control of the game. Rogers' back-to-back goals sparked the run, with consecutive goals from Leiby and single tallies by Westerby and McGovern ending the period.
The offensive fireworks continued in the second quarter, with six different players finding the back of the net as the Ducks built a 15-2 lead at halftime. Guerra netted two of her three goals in the frame and completed her first career hat trick in the fourth.Â
"Rebecca has worked so hard and was able to get her first goals of the season," Shaddock reflected. "I thought all of our offensive players did a great job."

The Ducks were successful on 16 of their 18 clearing attempts, including a perfect 10 for 10 in the first half. A smothering defensive effort in the midfield held King's to just 12 successful clears in 22 tries.
Both of Lindsay's tallies came off free-position shots as the Monarchs finished 2 for 4 on the day. Cunniff recorded two saves off eight-meter attempts in the first half and King's did not attempt a free-position shot in the final quarter. Rogers went 3 for 3 on free-position shots, while Westerby went 1 for 2, as Stevens went 4 for 7 on the day.
