HOBOKEN, N.J. (April 30, 2022) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team defeated Lycoming by a score of 9-0 in a MAC Freedom matchup at the Stevens Tennis Courts on Saturday, April 30.
Stevens improved to 11-4 overall and 6-0 in conference play with the win. The Warriors fell to 5-11 overall and 0-6 in the conference.
The Ducks swept all three doubles matches to take an early 3-0 lead. Graduate student
Keegan Morris and senior
Eloi Pradier won 8-1 in the first position, first-year Vivek Harinaryan and graduate student
Mark Pabalan won 8-1 in the second spot and senior
Marc Feliu and senior
Brian Li won 8-1 at third.
Stevens continued their success at singles, winning all six matches. Morris opened singles play with a 6-1, 6-0 victory from the first position. Feliu (6-0, 6-0) and sophomore
Andrew He (6-1, 6-3) followed that up with victories at second and third singles, respectively.
To close out the match, Pradier earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at the four spot, Pabalan won 6-1, 6-0 at the fifth position and Li picked up the final win of the day at sixth single by a score of 6-0, 6-0.
Up Next: The Ducks are back in action, Wednesday, May 4. They will host a MAC Freedom semifinal at the Stevens Tennis Courts.
