HOBOKEN, N.J. (April 4, 2022) – Senior
Ryan Finegan hit a three-run home run as the Stevens Institute of Technology baseball team used a five-run seventh inning to rally past King's College 13-9 in a MAC Freedom matchup at Dobbelaar Field.

Hunter Silvernail drove in a pair for the Ducks, who won their fifth straight to move to 19-7 on the year. Stevens swept the three-game series with King's to move to 7-2 in league play.
Andrew Steidle homered and drove in three as part of a five-hit evening for the Monarchs, who dropped to 7-11 on the year and to 1-8 in league play. King's has dropped three straight.

Trailing by a run in the seventh, Ducks' bats came to life against Zach Day (0-2). Senior
Ryan Wall singled to start the inning and then Day walked Silvernail and graduate student
Thomas Paulich to load the bases. Wall came around to score on a double play and then Finegan drove a 1-1 fastball over the wall in right center to put the Ducks in front for good. First-year
Evan Pravato singled and stole a pair of bases to provide a key insurance run. Day allowed five runs on three hits over 1 2-3, before returning to right field, which was where he began the contest.
A wild affair, the teams combined for 22 runs on 22 hits.
Stevens' lead ballooned with three runs in the eighth. Silvernail and Paulich each had RBIs as the Ducks scored twice on just one hit. Sophomore
Christian Kreiser had a pinch-hit RBI triple to give the Ducks a 13-6 lead.
King's made things interesting in the ninth, scoring three times against junior
Anthony Pron (5-2) before sophomore
Jacob Buurman slammed the door with the tying run on deck for his third save of the year. Pron had allowed just two hits over 2 1-3 innings entering the final frame.
Wall was involved in the Ducks' first two runs of the game, delivering an RBI single in the first before drawing a bases loaded walk in the fifth. The senior infielder is tied with Silvernail with 23 RBI.
Up Next: Stevens will take on No. 24 Arcadia in a three-game weekend series. The series kicks off at home on at Fri. Apr. 8 at Dobbelaar, before the Ducks travel to the Keystone State Saturday for a doubleheader.
