Women's Soccer Concludes the Regular Season with 4-0 Win Over Lebanon Valley

The Ducks also celebrated senior day.

HOBOKEN, N.J. (October 28, 2023) - Graduate Rachel Rouse and first-year Luciana Rodrigues each tallied four points as the Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team defeated Lebanon Valley 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Ducks also celebrated senior day, honoring 13 players.

The Ducks (8-6-2, 6-1-0 MAC Freedom) clinched the #2 seed in the MAC Freedom Tournament on Tuesday. They will host Arcadia on Tuesday, October 31st at 7 p.m. Stevens has already defeated the Knights earlier this season at home, winning 3-0 back on October 21st. Lebanon Valley (5-8-2, 2-5 MAC Freedom) having been eliminated from the postseason conversation.

The match was never in doubt as the Ducks dominated from the opening whistle. It took the Ducks seven shots to get on the scoreboard as they scored in the 12th minute. Rouse would find the back of the net on an assist from Rodrigues. The Flying Dutchmen were able to find their footing as the half went on, but the Ducks would hold the halftime lead at 1-0.

Stevens made sure to get on the board again early in the second half, as Rouse drove to the end line and found Rodrigues on the six yard box. Rodrigues guided the ball in as the Ducks made it 2-0 in the 54th minute. Eight minutes later, senior Elsa Bley scored on an assist from Rodrigues. Bley scored another goal in the 70th minute, this time on an assist from Rouse. The Ducks would walk away with the 4-0 victory.

Top Performers

  • Rouse's goal was her eighth of the year and the assists were her fifth and sixth of the year, respectively.
  • Rodrigues' goal was the third of her career and the assists were the second and third of her career.
  • Bley's goals were her third and fourth of the season.
  • Stevens recorded 35 shots with 16 landing on target.
  • Sophomore Kenny Donley made one save.

  • Jocelyn Umana made 12 saves.
  • The Aggies had five shots with one going on goal.
