HOBOKEN, N.J. (October 31, 2023) - Senior Amelia Rehrig scored the winning goal as the Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team defeated #3 Arcadia 2-0 on Tuesday night in the MAC Freedom Semifinals.

The Ducks (9-6-2) advance to the MAC Freedom Championship and will face #1 Misericordia. This will be the fourth straight meeting in the championship between the two teams. The Cougars won the last two finals while Stevens won over the Cougars in 2019. The Ducks outscored Arcadia (8-10) 5-0 across the two matches this season. Stevens has recorded four shutouts in their last five games, outsourcing their opponents 24-1. The Ducks are also on a seven-game winning streak, which is their longest since 2019 when they won 15-straight matches.

Stevens jumped on Arcadia early as they were able to fire off a ton of shots. Stevens fired off 13 shots in the opening 20 minutes but were unable to get a goal. Arcadia tested senior Dana Perry in the 24th minute, but she stood tall and made the save. The Ducks continued to put on the pressure, but could not find the back of the net as the score remained 0-0 at the half.

It didn't take long for Stevens to convert coming out of the break, as Rehrig found the back of the net just 21 seconds in on an assist from graduate Rachel Rouse. Just six minutes later, the Ducks doubled their tally as the Knights gave up an own goal. The two teams had their moments going down the stretch, but the Ducks held on to the 2-0 victory at home.
