ONEONTA, N.Y. (November 18, 2023) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's swimming team competed against Scranton and Hartwick Saturday at the Hartwick Triangular. The Ducks defeated Hartwick 172.5-100.5 but fell to Scranton 179-108.

Stevens improves to 10-2 all-time against former Empire 8 foe Hartwick. The Ducks have won two-straight in the series.

It was the first ever meeting between the Ducks and the Royals, as Scranton now holds a 1-0 advantage in the all-time series.

Top Performers

• Junior Kai Wong, sophomore Adriana Bertolotti, sophomore Natalia Brunetti, and sophomore Gabby Sokolik placed first in the 200-yard medley relay, clocking in at 1:54.46. 
• Sophomore Gabby Tyer completed the 200-yard freestyle in 2:06.27. She also earned a second place finish in the 100-yard butterfly, clocking in at 1:02.83.
• Junior Sophie Patz tied for first in the 100-yard backstroke, posting a time of 1:11.28. She also came first in the 200-yard IM, as she finished in 2:18.22.
• Bertolotti and Brunetti each came in the top three in the 50 yard freestyle. Bertolotti won the race with a time of 26.10, while Brunetti clocked in at 26.88. Bertolotti also placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:36.01.
• Wong also tallied a second place finish in the 100 yard freestyle, posting a time of 56.48.
• Senior Claire Hannan came in second in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:21.18. First-year Kylie Martinez came in third with a time of 2:23.57.

For the Opponents

• Kimberly Gingrass and Jaclyn Papalski each placed in the top two in the 1000 yard freestyle for Scranton. Gingrass also claimed a first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle. The Royals also claimed the top three times in the 200-yard butterfly.
• Elaine Chen tied Patz in the 100-yard breaststroke for Hartwick. Chen also topped Bertolotti in the 200-yard breaststroke.
