EWING, N.J. (September 20, 2023) - The Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team fell to No. 20 The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) 4-0 in a non-conference match on Wednesday night.

The Ducks (0-4-2) remain winless to start the 2023 campaign. It is the worst start to a season since 2009, when Stevens lost their first eight games to begin the year. The loss is also the second largest margin of defeat for Stevens this season. TCNJ improves to 5-1-1. The Lions started the season outside of the Top 25 national poll, but have seen themselves ranked the past two weeks. TCNJ has won six straight contests against Stevens.

It was all Lions in this one and it started from the beginning as they hit the post just 37 seconds into the game. In the 14th minute, TCNJ found the breakthrough that put them up 1-0. Just 29 seconds later, they doubled their advantage. TCNJ would find a third goal in the 28th minute to take a commanding 3-0 lead into the break.

The second half provided more of the same as TCNJ hit the post again just ten minutes into the second frame. The Ducks' best chance came from senior Claire Ganley, who hit the crossbar in the 65th minute. The Lions would add a fourth goal at the 77th minute mark as they cruised to a commanding 4-0 victory.
