Men's Soccer Earns Conference Victory Over FDU-Florham

The win is the first victory on the road for the Ducks this season.

MADISON, N.J. (September 30, 2023) - Senior Dylan Maund scored from the penalty spot  as the Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team defeated FDU-Florham 2-1 Saturday afternoon.

The Ducks (4-2-3, 1-0-0 MAC Freedom) got back into the win column after losing in their previous matchup. Stevens improves to 12-0-1 against the Devils all-time. The first half was pretty quiet as each team only registered one shot on target in the frame. Senior Fritz Kabeiseman tallied a shot on target in the 23rd minute while the Devils had a chance of their own in the 25th minute. Neither team would be able to strike as the score remained 0-0 at halftime.

The Ducks fell behind in the 61st minute as the Devils took a 1-0 lead. Stevens responded quickly however as they were awarded a penalty shot in the 64th minute. Maund would convert from the spot to tie things up. Stevens then jumped into the lead as the Devilc conceided an own goal in the 80th minute. Stevens would hold on for the 2-1 victory as they got off on the right foot in MAC Freedom play.
