Men's Swimming Tripped Up by Rowan

Hoboken, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's swim team was knocked off by Rowan University 167-95 on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Ducks notched a second-place mark in the 200-medley relay as Ethan Emerton, Angel Velasquez, Deo Bove, and Will Stibor touched the wall in 1:37.27. Andy Kolecki nabbed third in the 1,000-free (10:48.49), while Stibor took second in the 200-free (1:52.61). Ryan Ward (55.59) and Emerton (56.09) grabbed the second and third spots in the 100-backstroke as Velasquez notched the first victory of the day in the 100-breaststroke.

Bove was third in the 200-fly (2:06.61), with Leo Timmerman clocking in at 22.32 in the 50-free, which was good for second overall. Stibor grabbed a first-place time of 48.66 in the 100-free, with Ward taking second in the 200-back (1:58.68). James Johnson and Lukas Mikulenas claimed the top two spots in the 200-breast, with Johnson clocking in at 2:18.65 and Mikulenas at 2:18.99.

After Emerton was third in the 500-free (5:08.4), Bove tallied a first-place mark of 53.34 in the 100-fly. Stevens finished the afternoon with a second-place time in the 400-free relay, as Bove, Jack Martinek, Kolecki, and Stibor finished in 3:20.59.
