Liam Concannon and
Jake Aylmer took 13
th and 28
th out of 137 (finishing) runners, respectively, taking Second Team and Third Team All-Conference honors at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championship Saturday, pacing the Stevens Institute of Technology men's cross-country team to a fifth-place finish out of 16 teams.
Concannon claimed his fourth consecutive Second Team honor and Alymer finished in the Top 30 for the third straight year, following Second Team honors in 2022 and First Team honors last Fall. Concannon was among the race leaders at the one mile mark, going out in 5:13.3; he finished with an average mile of 5:28.6. Aylmer also went out quickly – a 5:14.2 first mile – before settling into an eventual 5:35.2/mile pace.
Bryan Onody clocked in at 28:00.3, missing a spot on the All-Conference Third Team by fewer than 10 seconds. Daniel Jutras and
Jake Porco finished one second apart in 47
th and 48
th, respectively.
As a team, the Ducks amassed 165 points with their top-five runners spread by 1:19 and top-seven spread by 1:41 in the first event of the championship season.
Lebanon Valley's Rory Lieberman and Matthew Santana finished 1-2, leading the Dutchmen to a championship-winning 34 points, 37 points ahead of runner-up Misericordia. Lebanon Valley joins DeSales, Widener, and Messiah as the only schools to win the team title since 2013.

"Our Men's side gave it their all today, and we were very pleased to hold on to 5th place by just a few points. While our team didn't have their best race of the year, our depth showed up in a big way, and kept us at our pre-championship ranking. Other years, we've needed everything to go right to place well. This year, we were able to keep our standing without everyone having a great day because of how many talented runners we have on roster. Stevens returns to the course in two weeks, returning to Logan Township, N.J. on Nov. 11 for the Metro Region Championship, which will be hosted by Rowan University at the Gloucester County DREAM Park.
