NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's cross-country program posted a sensational grade-point average of 3.782, ranking fourth in all of Division III, earning United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors, the association announced Thursday.
Additionally, graduate student
Liam Concannon earned All-Academic status for the second time in his career (2022).
The Ducks finished behind only Pacific University (Oregon), Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, and Emory University, earning All-Academic Team honors for the 13
th time since 2011, and finishing with a GPA in the top five for the third time since 2021.
In order to qualify for individual All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
In order to qualify for team All-Academic distinction, they must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. The Ducks were one of 197 DIII men's team to receive this year's award.
