The Rundown (Game 1)
- The Ducks scored the first run of the game in the second inning. Prescott recorded a lead-off single, and then moved to second after first-year Maria Dante walked. Sophomore Emily Wohlleber laid down a sacrifice bunt in the next at-bat, allowing both runners to advance. Prescott would then score on a wild pitch as the Ducks went up 1-0.
- NJCU recorded one of their two hits in the bottom of the second but were unable to score.
- First-year Emma Quattrochi singled and then stole second to begin the third for the Ducks. Two batters later, graduate student Elise Fauske delivered a sacrifice bunt to advance Quattrochi. Junior Emma Ruiz would then single and steal second like Quattrochi did to start the inning, as the Ducks now had two runners in scoring position. Still with two outs, Prescott singled to score both runners. Dante would then triple to bring Prescott home from the first as the Ducks went up 4-0.
- That scoreline would remain the rest of the day, as Fischer got the best of the Gothic Knights. The only other hit in the game for NJCU came in the fifth inning.
The Rundown (Game 2)
- Stevens scored early in game two, striking in the first inning. Senior Jessica Guerrero and Fauske hit singles to start, and Prescott would later bat home Guerrero as she reached on an error. The Ducks led 1-0.
- Neither team scored again until the fourth, as NJCU tacked on two runs for their first lead of the day.
- The Gothic Knights added another in the sixth to go up 3-1.
- Needing at least two runs in the seventh, Guerrero kick-started things off by recording a single. First-year Jay Morales pinch ran for Guerrero, and they would reach second on a steal. Fauske would walk in the next at-bat to bring the winning run to the plate. Dante then hit into a fielder's choice, as Morales was out at third on the play. Later with runners on first and third, Prescott delivered again, as she singled through the left side, scoring Fauske and advancing Dante. With two outs and runners on second and third, junior Megan Curtis delivered a huge two-RBI single to put Stevens in front 4-3.
