NORTH BERGEN, N.J. (May 4, 2024) – Junior's Vivek Harinarayan and Olof Persson each recorded two wins as the Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team took down #2 Lebanon Valley 5-0 Saturday afternoon in the MAC Freedom finals at Braddock Park.
Harinarayan was named the championship MVP.
Stevens (13-6) has still yet to lose a game since joining the MAC Freedom as they claim their fourth-straight conference championship in the MAC Freedom and their 14th straight conference championship overall. Lebanon Valley finishes the year 12-9.
The Ducks took an early 3-0 lead after the doubles matches to take the early lead. Harinarayan and Persson combined to win 8-1 on the first line for the Ducks. Senior Aashi Kulakarni and junior Sebastian Wroe took care of business on the second line, while sophomore Max-William Kanz and first-year Samvid Andhare wrapped things up on line three.
Already with a big lead, Stevens needed just two wins on the singles side, which they secured right away. Harinarayan swept his opponent 6-0, 6-0 on the second line, while Persson did the same on the sixth line, as the Ducks handedly won the MAC Freedom tournament again.
