Women's Volleyball's Lisboa Named AVCA All-America

Second Straight Honor For Senior Middle Hitter

Lexington, Ky. – Senior Vivian Lisboa was named Honorable Mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Wednesday, the second straight season the middle hitter received such recognition from the organization.

An All-MAC Freedom First Team selection earlier this month (her third career all-conference honor), Lisboa capped a prominent career with 749 kills and a 0.289 attack percentage, 344 total blocks, 96 service aces, and 1046.5 total points – the 344 total blocks put her in fifth place on the program's all-time list. Lisboa's efforts in those metrics helped the Ducks as a team lead the MAC Freedom in kills, hitting percentage, blocks per set, and service aces per set.

She recorded at least nine kills in a match eight times, at least four total blocks seven times, at least three service aces seven times, and 8+ kills with one attack error or fewer seven times. She tallied at least five kills AND five blocks in a match six times, including a nine-kill, seven-block effort in the MAC Freedom Championship against Misericordia, for which she took home Tournament Most Valuable Player honors, helping the Ducks claim a sixth straight conference title and remain unbeaten in the MAC Freedom Tournament since joining the conference prior to the 2019-20 season.

Lisboa becomes the 10th Duck named All-America multiple times in program history.
