Men's Tennis Edged by No. 26 Mary Washington, 4-3

Fredericksburg, Va. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team was edged by No. 26 Mary Washington 4-3 on Sunday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Ducks claimed the doubles point after going 2-1. The No. 2 duo of Mihir Parcha and Max-William Kanz notched a 6-4 victory as Matt Luzzi and Samvid Andhare came away with a 7-6 (6-4) triumph at No. 3. Stevens fell in a heartbreaker at the No. 1 slot, with Vivek Harinarayan and Olof Persson dropping a 7-6 (8-6) decision.

Kanz picked up a three-set victory at the top of the singles lineup, winning 6-2, 4-6, 6-1. Aidan Miller also notched a three-set win at No. 4, rebounding from a 7-6 first-set setback. Miller won the second 6-2 and outlasted Albert Vladimirskiy 7-6 (7-2) in the third set tiebreaker. Persson and Parcha fell in two sets at No. 5 and No. 2 singles, respectively, as Andhare and Dhaivik Chenemilla were topped in three sets. Andhare, playing at No. 3 singles, opened with a 6-4 win before falling 6-0 and 7-6 (7-3) as Chenemilla registered a first-set win. Chenemilla won 6-2 but dropped the next two 6-1 and 6-4.
