Edgewater, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team opened Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom play with a dominant 7-0 victory over Misericordia University on Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Stevens secured the doubles point by sweeping all three flights, dropping just two games in total. The duo of
Vivek Harinarayan and
Dhaivik Chenemilla earned a 6-0 win at No. 2, while
Samvid Andhare and
Tristan Wroe posted an identical 6-0 result at No. 3. The most competitive match came at the top of the lineup, where
Aidan Miller and
Olof Persson earned a 6-2 victory.
In singles play, the Ducks continued their dominance, surrendering just two games across all six matches. Miller (No. 1), Chenemilla (No. 2), Persson (No. 3), and
Noah Pe (No. 5) each posted perfect 6-0, 6-0 wins.
Mihir Parcha (No. 4) and
Johnny Haase (No. 6) turned in identical 6-1, 6-0 performances to complete the sweep.
