Ethan Stallone and
Danny Jutras both flirted with breaking their own school records for the Stevens Institute of Technology men's track & field team on the second and final day of competition at the AARTFC Outdoor Regional Championships.
The Ducks finished in 31st with seven points; Susquehanna took first with 72 points, Cortland State was second with 60.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After qualifying for the 110-meter hurdles in a school-record 14.47 yesterday, Stallone ran 14.53 on Thursday, finishing the event in fourth.
Jutras, who set the new standard in the 800 meters with a 1:52.15 back on April 18, the program, ran 1:52.77 for a seventh-place finish. It was the second time in a week Jutras came within six-tenths of a second of breaking his own mark after running 1:52.75 at the Widener Final Qualifier on Monday.
In the only other event on Thursday featuring Ducks,
Jake Aylmer finished 14
th in the 1500 meters with a 3:58.81;
Ryan Paradine finished 22
nd with a 4:04.56
UP NEXT
Those who have qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships will head to the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio May 22 through 24.
