Grantham, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's track & field team concluded the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Outdoor Championships on Saturday, finishing the three-day event in seventh place with 65 total points.
The Ducks finished behind York (72 points), Widener (78), Messiah (78.5), Misericordia (93), Eastern (112), and Lebanon Valley, which won the team title with 150 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Michael Dao had the highest individual or team finish on Saturday for the Ducks, taking second in the pole vault, clearing 4.43 meters (just .02 meters off his personal-best.
Brandon Kiefer, fresh off a win in the decathlon yesterday, took fifth in the event with a PR of 4.28 meters, moving into sole possession of sixth in program history.
The 4x100 meter relay team of
Chad Francis,
Doug Winant,
Asher Morgan, and
Chase Kosiba took fourth with a time of 42.98 seconds.
Jonathan Mordi also took fourth in the triple jump, soaring 14.09 meters, just off his school record of 14.19.
Danny Jutras finished fifth in the 800 meters, moving up from seventh at the 400-meter mark.
Connor Robinson (400 hurdles) and
Ryan Paradine (1500) each finished sixth in their respective events. Robinson missed his PR in the event by less than a second, and Paradine finished just .06 seconds back of fifth and 1.71 seconds back of fourth.
Matthew Rudzinski rounded out the Ducks' point scorers with a seventh-place finish in the 110 hurdles, running 16.43.
