Women’s Volleyball Tabbed MAC Freedom Favorite in Preseason Poll

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The MAC Freedom released its final preseason coaches' poll of the Fall 2025 season Friday and the five-time reigning conference champion Stevens Institute of Technology women's volleyball team was picked to finish first in the annual pre-season ranking conducted among the conference's eight head coaches.

The Ducks finished with 48 points and six first-place votes, the other two first-place votes going to Misericordia, who took Stevens to five sets in last year's MAC Freedom Championship Game. Last season's two other conference tournament teams – DeSales and Lebanon Valley – were picked 3rd and 4th with 35 points and 33 points, respectively.

The entire poll can be found below:

Rank Team Points 1st Place Votes
1 STEVENS 48 6
2 Misericordia 44 2
3 DeSales 35
4 Lebanon Valley 33
5 Arcadia 25
6 FDU-Florham 14
7 Delaware Valley 13
8 King's 12

The Ducks finished with a 28-7 mark last year, the team's most victories in a single season since 2016, including an NCAA Tournament win for the third straight year; Macon Frey was named the league's Coach of the Year for the second straight season. Reigning MAC Freedom co-Defensive Player of the Year Vivian Lisboa (and last season's team leader in kills) returns for her senior season and All-MAC Freedom First Team setter Molly Harris will look to build on a stellar sophomore campaign where she racked up 1,180 assists, fifth-most in a season in program history. Fellow returners joining the duo include sophomore Sarah Bolduc -- who had 12 kills in the MAC Freedom Championship game and a 13-kill, 10-dig double-double in the NCAA Tournament win over Gallaudet --, and senior Paulina Miller, who averaged just under two digs per set.

Up Next: The Ducks open the regular season with three matches in Haverford, Pa. between August 29-30. On Friday (29th), the Ducks will face Union at 5:00 PM before a pair of matches the following day against Stockton (1:00 PM) and the host Fords (3:00 PM. Links for live stats and video will be posted to StevensDucks.com as they're made available.
