BETHLEHEM, Pa. / HAVERFORD, Pa. -- The Stevens Institute of Technology men's track and field team posted four Top-2 finishes between the Moravian-hosted Hounds Indoor Classic and Haverford-hosted Seamus McElligott Invitational on Saturday, including an 800-meter victory for
Christopher Reyes.
Reyes and
Matthew Hodorowski went 1-2 in the event at the McElligott Invitational, crossing just .17 seconds apart and more than 1.25 seconds ahead of anyone else.
Jonathan Mordi continued a stellar triple jump season, posting a top mark Saturday of 13.92 meters, finishing just .03 meters back of first and .93 meters clear of any other competitor;
Calvin Gibson took fourth in the event with a top jump of 12.39 meters.
The team's final Top-2 finish of the day came from the arms of
Kane Perry at the Hounds Classic, who set a PR with a 15.53-meter mark in the weight throw;
Manny Vega also set a PR in the event, his 13.44 meter throw good for 7
th.
Additional top performances Saturday (all from the McElligott Invitational) included a 4-5 finish for
Steven Longo and
Luis Amezquita in the 400 meters and a 5-6 finish for
Michael Dao and
Marcus Hochegger in the pole vault; both cleared 3.95 meters.

Both the women's and men's teams return to Pennsylvania next Saturday, January 31, for the Alvernia-hosted PLEX Shootout.
