Collegeville, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's swimming team secured a 145–116 road victory over Ursinus College on FSaturday
HOW IT HAPPENED
Stevens opened the meet by winning the 400-yard medley relay, as Laney Klaus,
Adriana Bertolotti,
Natalia Brunetti, and
Eszter Kiss combined for a final time of 4:05.42. The foursome of
Paige Bleckley,
Ashley Settle,
Samantha Gallo, and Gabs Sokolik placed third in 4:18.30, as
Sydney Lanager,
Emery Fitzharris,
Hanna Matheson, and
Megan Koek finished in 4:27.64.
The Ducks closed the meet with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as Klaus, Kiss, Bertolotti, and Brunetti won in 1:42.80. Stevens' B relay of Matheson, Settle, Gallo, and Bleckley finished third in 1:47.81, while the C relay of Abby Rosingana, Koek,
Gabby Tyer, and
Julia McKinley touched in 1:50.12.
Distance swimmer
Dora Dvorkin led Stevens in the 1,000-yard freestyle, winning in 11:11.33, and added a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:31.80. Rosingana placed third in the 500 at 5:41.36, followed closely by Matheson in fourth at 5:41.89. In freestyle events, Klaus won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:00.90 and followed with a victory in the 100-yard freestyle at 54.36. Koek finished fourth in the 200 at 2:05.81, while Gallo touched in 2:14.87.
Stroke events were highlighted by Brunetti, who won both the 100-yard backstroke at 1:02.44 and the 100-yard butterfly at 1:00.61. Kiss placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:11.25 and won the 200-yard IM in 2:14.58. Additional marks included Tyer in second at 2:22.69 and Fitzharris in third at 2:23.16 in the 200-yard backstroke, while Matheson finished second in the 200-yard butterfly at 2:14.45. Bleckley, Settle, McKinley, Lanager, and
Anjali Gupta each added scoring swims for the Ducks.

The Ducks will be off and training for the four-day Middle Atlantic Conference Championship Meet, which gets started on February 12 at the Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pa.
