Lewisburg, Pa. – Senior Brandon Kiefer and sophomore Calvin Gibson of the Stevens Institute of Technology men's track & field team competed in the opening four events of the heptathlon at the Bison Challenge, hosted by Bucknell University.

Through four events, Kiefer sits in sixth place, while Gibson is in 10th.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Kiefer totaled 2,339 points through four events, placing fifth in the 60-meter (7.35), seventh in both the long jump (5.97m) and shot put (10.25m), and ninth in the high jump (1.64m).

Gibson tallied 2,207 points, highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the high jump (1.73m). He also placed ninth in the shot put (9.93m), 10th in the long jump (5.66m), and 11th in the 60-meter (7.72).

Kiefer and Gibson conclude the heptathlon tomorrow morning, while the remainder of the team heads to Alvernia University for the PLEX Shootout.
