New York, N.Y. / Philadelphia, Pa. -- The Stevens Institute of Technology men's track and field team set a myriad of PRs at both the NYU D-III Invitational and the second day of the Widener Indoor Classic on Saturday.
In New York, numerous athletes set new personal-bests, starting with the 800-meter trio of
Christopher Reyes (1:58.80),
Enrico Parrella (1:59.04), and
Christian Garofano (2:00.95); Reyes missed a program all-time Top 10 mark by 12 one-hundredths of a second. They were not the only trio to set new marks in the same event as men's 3,000-meter group of
Mick Barbi (9:00.21),
Dylan Barrett (9:00.45), and
Joseph Ruben (9:06.82) also ran their fastest ever times in the event. Milers
Max Thorn (4:35.77) and
William Parker (4:47.48) also joined the PR party, while
James Adamo (4:42.59) was 25 one-hundredths shy of tying his personal best in the event.
At the Widener Classic in Philly,
William Ladd ran a PR of 8.62 in the 60-meter hurdle prelims, jumping from a tie for 9
th into sole possession of eighth place on the program's all-time Top 10 list.
