Philadelphia, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's fencing team competed in three bouts at the Temple Invitational on Sunday.
Stevens faced a trio of Division I opponents, falling to Penn State University (20-7), Princeton University (19-8), and St. John's University (21-6).
HOW IT HAPPENED
The epee squad totaled 10 victories on the day, highlighted by four wins against Princeton.
Riley Parker went 2-1 against the Tigers, while
Donovan Aggeler and
Skanda Krishnan each added a victory. Parker also recorded two wins against St. John's, and Krishnan posted a 2-1 mark versus Penn State. Krishnan went 1-2 in the bout against the Red Storm, with Parker earning a win against the Nittany Lions.
Foil accounted for seven wins across the three bouts, led by
Dev Badlani's four victories. Badlani went 2-1 against both Penn State and Princeton.
Nick Reznick picked up single wins against each school, while
Ricardo Pires added one victory.
Ruilin Liu rounded out the day with a sabre win in the loss to Princeton.

The Ducks return to action next Sunday, traveling to Drew University for the MACFA Championships. Competition is set to begin at 9:30 a.m.
