Men's Track and Field's Paradine, Kiefer, Adamo, Gibson Notch Top-5 Finishes At TCNJ Multi and Invite

Ewing, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's track and field team picked up two top-five finishes in the decathlon, a victory in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, and a top-four finish in the 5,000 meters Saturday at the TCNJ Multi and Invite.

No team scores were recorded, and the Ducks competed against teams including but not limited to: D-II members Adelphi and Holy Family, as well as Garden State foes FDU-Florham, Montclair State, NJCU, Stockton, and TCNJ.

Ryan Paradine took the top spot in the steeplechase for the second straight week, leading after each lap of the race.

Brandon Kiefer finished second in the decathlon and Calvin Gibson finished fifth. Kiefer took first or second in the 100 meters, the 400 meters, discus throw, javelin throw, long jump, pole vault, shot put, and 1500 meters, finishing just 112 points back of first and more than 750 points clear of third.

Calvin Gibson set personal-bests in the 100, 110 hurdles, 400, pole vault, and 1500, finishing 3rd in the hurdles, as well as fourth in the discus, javelin, AND 1500.

James Adamo took fourth in the 5,000 meters, just 10 seconds back of third after moving up from fifth place entering the final lap.
