Hoboken, N.J. – Senior Day 2026 for the No. 11 Stevens Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team turned into a record-setting day as the Ducks picked up a dominant 24-6 victory over Lebanon Valley on Saturday afternoon.
Matthew Pergola broke the program's career goals record, notching his 212
th (adding three more for good measure during a five-goal afternoon) and
Jack Tenaglia handed out assists left and right, setting a program single-game record with 11, reaching the mark in less than three quarters of action.
Six players had multi-goal games for Stevens (10-2, 3-0 MACF), who won their fifth straight game, during which time they've outscored their opponents by 81 goals.
How It Happened
Connor Moore began the scoring onslaught just past two minutes gone, with Pergola converting Tenaglia's first assist of the game just over a minute later. After the Dutchmen cut the score to 2-1, Tenaglia notched assists on each of the next four goals with the final one of the four serving as Pergola's record breaker –
Adam DeCristofaro and
Will Labartino (twice) scored the other three.
After
Jackson Penn tacked on the final goal of a 7-2 first quarter for the Ducks, DeCristofaro and Labartino scored on Tenaglia's sixth and seventh assists of the game early in the second. Tenaglia the found the back of the net himself, with
Chris Ciccarello adding two, Pergola completing his hat trick, and
Joe Leone adding on for the Ducks who led 14-3 halfway through.
The Tenaglia-to-Pergola connection opened the third quarter less than a minute in, with Penn and Ciccarello extending the lead to 17-4 at the 9:41 mark. Labartino made it 19-4 with a pair a minute apart, the latter of the two coming on Tenaglia's record-tying 10
th assist. 62 seconds later, Tenaglia snatched sole possession of the record, feeding
Ryan Jack for the team's 20
th goal of the day.
Pergola, Jack (twice), and
Matthew Kirschner added the Ducks' final four goals of the day, with three of them coming off assists from
Miles du Bois.
