No. 9 Men's Lacrosse Ride 21-0 Start Past Misericordia, 23-5, in MAC Freedom Action

Dallas, Pa. – The No. 9 Stevens Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team scored the first 21 goals of the game in a 23-5 MAC Freedom victory over Misericordia on Wednesday evening.

Stevens (11-2, 4-0 MACF) scored 23 seconds in, nine in the first quarter, and 19 in the first half while setting a season-high with 46 shots in goal.

How It Happened
Adam DeCristofaro scored the lone goal of the first 6+ minutes, but the Ducks' offense quickly caught fire, with Chris Ciccarello, Ryan Jack (twice),

Will Labartino, and Blake Creamer all scoring in a sub-2:15 span. Ciccarello sandwiched a pair around a Will Giarrusso goal to cap the first quarter.

Matthew Pergola, Joe Leone, and Labartino all scored in the first 2:15 of the second quarter, putting the Ducks up a dozen, then Ciccarello and Jack Tenaglia scored seven seconds apart, growing the Stevens' lead to 14-0 midway through the quarter. DeCristofaro, Tynan Murray, Tyler Holland, Ciccarello, and Leone tacked on five more in the final 6:44 of the first half.

Tenaglia and Jackson Zarinko opened the second half with the final two of Stevens' 21 unanswered goals before Misericordia scored four straight between the end of the third and start of the fourth quarter. Labartino and Matthew Kirschner each found the back of the next for the Ducks in the final period.
